Size Guide

Frame Size Guide: How To Measure Your Eyeglasses

Lens width Lens width

The first number— the lens size — represents the horizontal width of the lenses. Generally, the eye size of most eyeglass frames ranges from 40 mm to 62 mm.

The second number — the bridge size — is the distance between the lenses. In other words, it's the size of the "bridge" of the frame that rests on your nose. In most cases, the bridge size of eyeglass frames ranges from 14 mm to 24 mm.

The third number — the temple length — is the length of the "stems" of the frame, measured from the frame hinge to the back tip of the temple. Temple lengths generally range from 120 mm to 150 mm.

Often a small square (rather than a dash) will separate the eye size and the bridge size on the frame.

About Under Armour

Under Armour

One of the world's leading sportswear brands, Under Armour was founded in 1996 by a young football team captain named Kevin Plank. It all started with the idea of creating a super T-shirt that stays dry, breathable, and lightweight during the most intense workout.

Kevin studied in detail the technologies of breathable fabric and already in the next 1997 began to introduce innovative technologies and developments into his clothes. This is how a special fabric for all-season clothing was created. Each new clothing line was tested by students or schoolchildren for free, and changes in cut or type of fabric were made based on users' feedback.

Plank also sent out his jerseys to famous footballers asking to take photos wearing them. This way the Under Armour T-shirt appeared on the cover of the popular USA Today magazine. Later, the clothing of the brand appeared in the cinema more than once, which became additional advertising. Today, the brand is known for its T-shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, and all sorts of other sports and casual garments, as well as accessories including bags, gloves, safety gear, sunglasses, and optical frames.

Launching his small startup, Kevin Plank relied on the latest technology, and it was the right decision that propelled Under Armour to success. And today the brand is one of the most innovative sports companies and it continues to amaze with its futuristic products.
