Size Guide

Frame Size Guide: How To Measure Your Eyeglasses

Lens width Lens width

The first number— the lens size — represents the horizontal width of the lenses. Generally, the eye size of most eyeglass frames ranges from 40 mm to 62 mm.

The second number — the bridge size — is the distance between the lenses. In other words, it's the size of the "bridge" of the frame that rests on your nose. In most cases, the bridge size of eyeglass frames ranges from 14 mm to 24 mm.

The third number — the temple length — is the length of the "stems" of the frame, measured from the frame hinge to the back tip of the temple. Temple lengths generally range from 120 mm to 150 mm.

Often a small square (rather than a dash) will separate the eye size and the bridge size on the frame.

Oakley | Subzero OG | MUZM

Oakley founder Jim Jannard was an avid motorcyclist. His desire to improve motorcycle equipment pushed him to start making his own products. As a result of Jim's experiments with materials and shapes, anatomically comfortable grips have been invented that fitted perfectly in the hands and reduced sliding on the handle. The novelty was named Oakley Grip. Then came ski goggles and the Oakley O-Frame motorcycle goggles. But the real success and world fame came to the company with the start of the production of sunglasses. Today Oakley manufactures a wide range of products from accessories to apparel and footwear. But their main focus, of course, remains sporty and casual sunglasses, created with the brand's unique and innovative designs.
