The story of the great Italian brand Versace began in 1978 with the opening of the first boutique and the following show of the first collection of Gianni Versace in Milan. Only a decade later, in 1989, with a show in Paris, the Versace mania began, which swept the whole world and made Gianni Versace a cult figure in the fashion world. Today Versace is one of the leading fashion houses, whose collections of clothing and accessories continue to conquer the world’s catwalks.

In the eighties of the last century, Versace became a sensation in the fashion world. The designer easily combined lush baroque elements with pop art and elements of punk culture. He boldly used bright neon colors, large fonts, animal prints, and sexy cutouts in his collections. Versace became the leader of the world fashion, expressing all the peculiarities of the postmodern era – eclecticism and kitsch, a passion for excessive and external effects, and all this was richly seasoned with gold details – buttons, buckles, rivets, and obligatory chains.

A striking embodiment of the neo-baroque design, Versace has become a symbol of luxury and success that exudes all creations of the Italian fashion house from chic evening gowns to gorgeous optical collections. Versace sunglasses and frames have a special charm and magnetism. They attract with the sophistication of forms and uniqueness of color solutions. The embellishments include iconic Versace details such as gilded Greek ornaments or Baroque paintings, signature prints, rhinestones, enamels, and decorative Medusa medallions.

Taking inspiration from the brand’s La Greca print, Versace Fall/Winter 2021 eyewear collection brings eye-catching geometric shapes and innovative designs. The collection includes a variety of models in bold and contemporary styles, ranging from large shapes and familiar Aviators to streamlined masks and Irregular frames.

In particular, the new updated version of the iconic Versace Medusa Biggie eyewear stands out, highlighting the rich heritage of the fashion house and its historical connection with music and pop culture. The design remains recognizable, but slightly changed: moderately narrow lenses, see-through wide temples, graceful contours, and, of course, voluminous medallions made of golden metal depicting the head of Medusa.

Bold, confident, and totally iconic, these statement shades have a sophisticated look and evoke the luxury of hip-hop artists. The extravagant contours of this frame blur the barriers between the rapper’s opulent style and the brand’s iconic glamor. Made of clear plastic, the gray frame with a silver mirror finish is paired with cool silver mirror lenses. The model is also available in a number of other trendy shades.
