The award-winning British artist Owen Davey portrayed 12 cinema stereotypes wearing illustrated versions of the brand’s frame designs.
This series of several models of frames and sunglasses were inspired by legendary characters from the Hollywood “dream movie industry”. By creating drawings and themes based on his personal favorite characters, Owen Davey tried to capture the essence of these characters in minute detail. This is how the ic! berlin Cinematik collection appeared.
With unique names such as The Femme Fatale, The Antihero, The Drama Queen, The Superhero, The Supervillain, The Everyman, and others, the models from the Cinematik collection stand out for their extravagant designs, expensive materials, and recognizable ic! berlin style.
For this collection, a new kind of acetate was created for the first time. Striking custom colors such as Blood Orange featured on The Drama Queen or the Cosmic Plum on The Dreamer are featured exclusively in this collection. It’s this kind of detail that makes ic! berlin frames so special.
