Recently Bape announced a brand-new eyewear collaboration in association with Mastermind Japan. Two Japanese brands came up together to create their second eyewear collection.
Skull with crossbones, applied to dark gloomy fabrics – the main feature of the alternative brand Mastermind JAPAN offering its own aesthetics different from mainstream.
All brand production is built around collaborations and capsules, rather than regular seasonal collections.
Mastermind has an impressive list of collaborations with Bape (A Bathing Ape) which is one of the pioneers among Japanese street clothing brands that appeared in early nineties and is known for creating extremely popular limited collections.
The partnership of these original brands brought us a new optic collection comprising five models. The familiar and everlasting Aviator and Wayfarer models, which are as always a hit for any summer, both shine on the stage in this limited series.
The camouflage pattern with sculls is printed on the lenses and can be seen from different angles. Logos of both brands can be noticed on the temples.
Two Aviator models are made of durable and lightweight titanium and available in sunglass and eyeglass options, while two acetate Wayfarer models come as a sunglass and as an optic frame.
