The history of the Bally brand began in 1851 with the trip of Karl Franz Bally to Paris for a pair of new fashionable boots for his wife. Not knowing her foot size, Karl decided to buy out the entire size range of twelve pairs – so that for sure at least some pair of shoes would fit. Inspired by Paris manufactures, upon his return, Bally decided to repurpose his family business to create footwear.
Initially, all shoes were sewn only by hand, so all shoe masters from the immediate vicinity were involved in the work. Three years later, Karl Franz Bally built his first factory and was awarded the title of the first shoe manufacturer to use machine manufacturing to produce his goods. A distinctive feature of the Bally brand was a wide ribbon made in red and white, which symbolized the colors of the Swiss flag. This ribbon adorns the company’s products to this day.
As one of the world’s oldest fashion houses known for crafting some of the finest shoes and accessories, hundred years later, Bally has not changed its core product but has significantly expanded the product line. Now a line of clothing is presented to the attention of buyers, although the main attention of fashionistas is still most of all focused on leather goods: footwear, bags, belts, and other accessories. The brand’s products correspond to the luxury class and embody the ideal ratio of reasonable price and impeccable quality.
Frames and sunglasses of this age-old Swiss brand reflect the balance of jet-setting sophistication with understated luxury. The 2020 Sunglasses Spring / Summer collection from Bally is scrupulously elaborated to the last detail. The designers managed to harmoniously combine opposites – classics with a slight touch of nostalgia for retro style and modern contemporary shapes and trendy colors.
Modern stylish silhouettes and frames coexist with elegant and timeless shapes, such as updated Aviators, which combine a vintage, sporty aesthetic with clean lines. The collection also includes classic square frames, Wayfarer sunglasses, and rounds. Many models feature the Bally Grip motif – a metal detail that simulates a clutch screw. And as a finishing touch, all glasses are laser-engraved with the Bally logo. All sunglasses are made with Smart Fit technology, which is suitable for different face shapes and provides perfect comfort.
