Frame Size Guide: How To Measure Your Eyeglasses
The first number— the lens size — represents the horizontal width of the lenses. Generally, the eye size of most eyeglass frames ranges from 40 mm to 62 mm.
The second number — the bridge size — is the distance between the lenses. In other words, it's the size of the "bridge" of the frame that rests on your nose. In most cases, the bridge size of eyeglass frames ranges from 14 mm to 24 mm.
The third number — the temple length — is the length of the "stems" of the frame, measured from the frame hinge to the back tip of the temple. Temple lengths generally range from 120 mm to 150 mm.
Often a small square (rather than a dash) will separate the eye size and the bridge size on the frame.

Akoni emerged in 2019 as the brainchild of a diverse group of friends united by their passion for exceptional eyewear. The brand's name, derived from Latin and signifying "priceless; worthy of admiration," encapsulates their dedication to crafting eyewear of the highest caliber. At the helm of Akoni are co-founders Rosario Toscano and Salma Rachid, both bringing substantial experience from the luxury eyewear industry. Toscano's two-decade career includes leadership roles at renowned brands like Dita Eyewear and Sama Eyewear. The brand's design team boasts impressive talent, including Jeff Solorio and John Juniper, the founders of Dita. Their expertise contributes to Akoni's meticulously detailed collections, setting a new standard in eyewear design. From its inception, Akoni has placed a strong emphasis on sustainability.
The brand's "Green Harmony" initiative permeates every aspect of its operations, from the use of eco-friendly materials to sustainable production methods. This commitment extends to their design philosophy, which prioritizes timeless styles meant to last a lifetime, countering the trend of disposable fashion. In just a few years since its founding, Akoni has established itself as a significant player in the luxury eyewear market, known for its innovative designs, exceptional quality, and commitment to sustainable practices.
Akoni offers a range of distinctive collections that showcase their commitment to innovative design, superior materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. Each eyeglass line has its own unique theme and characteristics. The Optima collection represents Akoni's avant-garde approach to eyewear design. It challenges conventional design principles and pushes the boundaries of production techniques. Due to their complex manufacturing process, Optima styles are often produced in limited quantities, making them exclusive and highly sought-after pieces. Drawing inspiration from the concept of aether, the mysterious fifth element believed to hold the galaxy together, the Etere collection embodies celestial elegance. These frames are crafted from eco-friendly cellulose acetate, aligning with Akoni's commitment to sustainability.
Each collection draws inspiration from unique concepts, from celestial bodies to space exploration, adding depth to the designs.
